Favorite Appetizer

I'm participating in a blog share on Kellys Korner, and if you are not following that blog you should be!

My mom's cheese ball is my all time favorite appetizer, and I would eat it as a kid even though I hated three-fourths of the ingredients in it as a child. And it's easy, which is a plus. I associate cheese ball with every major holiday in my family because someone always asks us to make it.

Mom's Cheese Ball

2 - 8 oz packages of cream cheese, softened
1/2 of a small onion, minced
1/2 of a green pepper, minced
1 small can of crushed pineapple, drained
1 package of nut topping
1 teaspoon of seasoning salt
Ritz Crackers

Stir together cream cheese, onion, bell pepper, pineapple, seasoning salt, and a portion of the nut topping (reserve some nut topping to garnish). Once those are mixed together well, shape the mixture into a ball on a serving dish. Press the remaining nut topping into the cheese ball to decorate. Chill in the fridge for at least an hour, then serve with crackers.
